On Thursday, November 16, 2017 students enrolled in Frank Church High School's AVID class participated in a community service project to place stickers on bags to be used by liquor stores in the Boise area warning adults that providing alcohol to minors is illegal and comes with a fine up to $1,000 and up to one (1) year in jail.

AVID (Advancement Via Individual Determination) is a proven college readiness system, established over 35 years ago, that uses research-based strategies and curriculum to help close the achievement gap by preparing all students for college readiness and success in a global society. AVID is a school-wide approach to curriculum and rigor that impacts more than 1.2 million students in K-12 and 40 post-secondary institutions.
