In the 2023-24 school year, 35 Boise School District students earned the AP Capstone Diploma™ and 21 received the AP Seminar and Research Certificate™, up from 17 in 2018. The program builds key skills like critical thinking, research, and collaboration.

On September 23, 2024, the Boise School Board held a special meeting to review the district's safety and security procedures. During the meeting, the Board voted to approve making Election Day, November 5, 2024, a non-school day. This decision will allow schools to be safely used as polling locations without disrupting the school environment or compromising safety protocols.

The National Merit Scholarship Corporation (NMSC) has announced the Semifinalists for the 70th Annual National Merit Scholarship Program, and once again, the Boise School District stands out as Idaho’s top-performing district.

We are excited to share the powerful kickoff to National Suicide Prevention Month! 🎗️ Our high school students teamed up with Boise State University student-athletes to participate in the inspiring "Chalk the Walk" event at City Hall. Together, they filled the sidewalks with messages of hope, encouragement, and positivity—an important reminder that no one is ever alone, and help is always available.
