Timberline library will provide all students, staff, and patrons with resources and activities to promote personal, academic, and professional growth in a welcoming, open environment.

Wednesday 8:15-3:15  

Please note that the library may need to be closed due to standardized testing or elections for a few class periods up to several days. If this is the case, announcements will be made over the PA system and signage will be posted on the library doors. Extended library closures due to testing will be announced several days in advance.

Library Policies

In The Library

  • All cell phones must be turned off and put in the cell phone locker at the start of the period. You may pick them up when the bell rings at the end of the period. Cell phones may only be used before/after school, during break and lunch.

     

  • Computers (both PCs and mobile devices) are available for student use, and the District provides them to support and enhance the curriculum. Students must have a current Acceptable Use Policy on file. Mobile devices may be checked out for one period at a time and must remain on campus. Activity deemed inappropriate could result in suspension of computer use or other applicable school policies.

  • Printing is allowed and free for school related activities only. School related printing that exceeds 10 pages must be approved by the librarian. Printing multiple copies of the same assignment is prohibited. If this is needed for one of your classes, your teacher will need to send your assignment to the copy room to have it photocopied there.

  • Food and drink is currently allowed in the library. If you are working on the computers in the library, please leave your food and drinks in your backpack or on the table area provided. Please help us maintain a welcoming space by cleaning up after yourself!

Circulation

  • Students must possess a valid Boise School District ID to check out materials.

  • All items may be renewed 2 times; more renewals can be approved by the librarians

  • Print Books

    Chromebooks and Chromebook Chargers

    1 day; may be renewed in person;

    • There are no fines for overdue books. Fines will be removed from your account once the book is returned. 
    • An overdue item will be marked as "lost" if not returned within 30 days after the due date.
    • Lost items are charged at replacement cost (current market value) charge is deleted if replacement book is provided
    • You can view your library account to see all items you have checked out including textbooks.
    • Check your school email account weekly for renewal and overdue notices from the library. You may reply to the email to renew your material.
